TitletownTech Invests in Croux

GREEN BAY, WI (May 4, 2023) – TitletownTech, a venture capital firm formed out of a partnership between the Green Bay Packers and Microsoft, has expanded its portfolio with its investment in Croux, a platform that connects talent with flexible work opportunities.

The investment from TitletownTech and other participating investors will allow Croux to advance product development, bolster its team through key technology hires, and invest in strategic partnerships across the southeast.

“We’re excited to welcome Croux to our portfolio,” said TitletownTech Managing Director Jill Enos. “Croux is a thought leader in the future of work and is providing talent more flexibility while empowering businesses with a dynamic and qualified workforce.”

With a focus on events, Croux modernizes the talent search for the service industry. The company’s intuitive app allows businesses to post shifts and fill them with screened talent on the platform more efficiently and cost effectively than traditional staffing agencies.

“We are thrilled to have the support of TitletownTech and our additional investors as we continue to transform the way the hospitality industry works,” said Croux CEO and co-founder Jennifer Ryan. "This investment enables us to grow and develop our platform while accelerating our expansion across the southeast, all with the core mission in mind: to empower the people of our industry through equal and easy access to flexible work.”

Croux’s talent-first approach informs the company’s strategic direction and decision-making. It’s also what encouraged the Giving Kitchen, a national nonprofit that provides emergency assistance to food service workers in crisis, to partner with Croux.

“Giving Kitchen’s Stability Network connects food service workers to many different resources, some of which help prevent a crisis down the line and some that help after crisis hits,” said co-founder and Senior Director of Community Engagement Jen Hidinger-Kendrick. “As an employment resource, Croux is a great addition to our catalog of preventative Stability Network resources because it offers increased financial stability via flexible work opportunities for people who are already in the food service industry."

She opened her restaurant, BLUEROOT, in 2019 in Birmingham, AL. Alongside Ryan is a team of founders that brings valuable industry experience to the table, from owning and operating local hospitality companies to working at food service giants Sysco and Jimmy John’s.

Croux is live in Atlanta, GA, Auburn, AL, Birmingham, AL, Florence/Muscle Shoals, AL, Huntsville, AL, and Tuscaloosa, AL.
