Matthias Troyer, PhD, is a computational physicist specializing in high-performance
and quantum computing. After nearly two decades as a professor and
consultant, he joined Microsoft’s quantum computing division to develop
novel computing paradigms. A recipient of the Aneesur Rahman and
Hamburg Prizes, he is recognized for pioneering work in quantum
many-body physics and advancing computational tools.
