Four-time Olympian, Global Sports Leader Angela Ruggiero Named TitletownTech Advisor

CEO and co-founder of Sports Innovation Lab brings years of industry experience to TitletownTech


GREEN BAY, WI (Sept. 27, 2022)TitletownTech, a venture capital firm formed out of a partnership between the Green Bay Packers and Microsoft, is expanding its advisory team with the appointment of four-time Olympian and global sports leader Angela Ruggiero. As an advisor to TitletownTech, Angela will help source, evaluate, and mentor companies in the firm’s portfolio, as well as extend the greater network.

Ruggiero is the CEO and co-founder of Sports Innovation Lab, a fan intelligence and market research company that helps the world's leading sports organizations understand who their fans are, and how technology is changing their behavior. Under her leadership, Sports Innovation Lab collects and analyzes data on what sports fans do, watch, and buy, to strategically advise the most innovative brands in the world such as Coca-Cola, FIFA, Google, NFL, and Visa. Ruggiero also oversaw the production of "The Fan Project," a critically acclaimed report that presented a new, modern monetization model for the sports industry.

Ruggiero is considered one of the greatest ice hockey players of all time, having earned four successive Olympic medals in ice hockey – including gold in 1998 – en route to her induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Following her standout career as an athlete, she served in high-visibility roles on the international stage, including a position as a member of the International Olympic Committee (2010-2018) and Chairperson of the IOC Athletes' Commission. As former Chief Strategy Officer for LA28, Ruggiero played a pivotal role in helping her hometown of Los Angeles land the 2028 Olympics. Ruggiero has been named to Sports Business Journal's 40 Under 40 List, Forbes’ Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Sport, and is a Member of the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee’s Hall of Fame. She earned her MBA and BA at Harvard and master’s in education at University of Minnesota.
