We are expanding our growth (sales) team through hiring talented new team members: those inspired and driven by the opportunity to empower a collaborative community of engaged advocate growers with the most efficient and effective farming technology on the planet. The ideal candidate for the growth team opportunities will have proven experience in developing lasting relationships, be driven to exceed targets through empowering hyperlocal food production, and embody a team-first attitude.

Position Description:The Director of Regional Development is responsible for establishing and leading organizational business development efforts in an identified region within the United States. This leader must be a strong business mind capable of leading teams of professionals, driving results and providing solutions to complex problems. Must be able to work in a fast paced, growing environment with the ability to change and grow with the business.

 

Externally-focused, this role collaborates with the executive team, employees and customers to grow our organizational revenues and the reach of our mission impacts. The right candidate will be enthusiastic about working with customers across a number of market verticals: K-12, higher education, healthcare, nonprofits, hunger relief, commercial, social enterprise, and more.

Purpose: Grow organizational revenue through direct sales, by building long-lasting individual and community relationships.

Location: Work from home and office at TitletownTech in Green Bay, WI

Start Date: Flexible

 

Compensation: Competitive Salary plus Stock Options, Bonuses/Commissions, Paid Time Off and Health Insurances

 

Hours: Full-Time

 

Responsibilities:

  • Regional business strategy design and implementation

  • Department management and oversight

  • Team and strategic partner hiring and leadership

  • Department continuous improvement

  • Reporting and KPI management

A Day in the Life:

  • Work closely with growth team leaders to develop account management and sales strategies to sustain and grow the value of each customer relationship.

  • Research and profile prospective new accounts; use phone, email, and other technologies to sell via both inbound and outbound methods.

  • Effectively negotiate contract terms.

  • Consult and engage with customers on-site and via phone to understand their business needs, and plan service delivery that meets or exceeds their expectations.

  • Initiate the implementation strategy for new accounts, ensuring we drive the right customer-focused activity to generate lasting partnerships

Qualifications:

  • Has successfully grown a business or a department within a business

  • Five years of business development experience, with success in building teams. Unique experience in building personal, community and business relationships outside of a traditional sales environment will be considered.

  • An excellent leader, focused on growth, development, culture and accountability.

  • Capable of balancing team leadership, with strategy and direct execution.

  • A self-starter with natural resiliency, capable of dealing with the ebb and flow of an emerging business within an emerging industry.

  • Detailed, organized and capable of working independently with the support of remote teams.

  • Extremely customer-focused, willing to drive business development activity from a deep understanding of how the business functions and links together to support the customer.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interface and build strong relationships with business executives on a one-on-one basis.

  • Ability to learn new skills quickly, including software programs such as Gsuite, Microsoft Office and Salesforce.

  • Excited to work in a high-growth, quickly evolving, constantly pivoting and creative entrepreneurial environment.
